Today’s weather in Virginia
The state of Virginia is part of the south Atlantic portion of the United States and is nicknamed Old Dominion. The state is large so you can expect to have different types of climate in different areas. The closer you get to the southeast of the state the warmer temperatures get. It is hard to find seasonal extremes in the state and the Atlantic Ocean has a great effect on its weather. Because of its location, Virginia can also experience hurricanes and the strength of those hurricanes depends on where in the state you are; the more inland you go the less of a chance to be hit with powerful full force hurricane winds. Virginia weather varies a lot so here are some of its main cities.
