Today’s weather in South Africa
South Africa Weather
You will find the Republic of South Africa at the very south of the African continent. Its climate is usually temperate and it is influenced by both the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. The north of the country has higher elevations and therefore the influence of the oceans declines. You can find extreme desert as well as sub-tropical climate. Because of its location the winters in the country happen between the months of June through August. In the southwest of the country you will find weather that is very similar to what you would find in the Mediterranean. The one difference being that the wind can blow much harder in the region. The wind is one of the causes for the many shipwrecks common to the area.
