North Dakota Weather
The state of North Dakota is located in the Midwest of the United States and it experiences continental climate. Because of its location, extreme temperatures are the norm and not the exception. The people in the state will experience some of the most varied weather in the country. All four seasons are distinct in the area. North Dakota weather is influenced during the winter by Arctic winds coming from the north and because of its flatlands it is also influenced by the hotter gulf winds coming from the south. North Dakota is far from most large bodies of water with one single exception and that is Lake Superior. Blizzards are common during the winter and the state is located at a latitude south enough to experience really hot weather.
